In this lesson we want to explain the work on the axes of objects. For example, import a cube. As you can see, the axis of the object is exactly in the middle. For example, we turn it into a door. And we want to rotate it from the corner. So we have to change its axis location. Click on the enable axis button and it will be activated, a square appears in the middle of the axis, indicating that we can move the axis. But it does not move because it is a parametric object. So we make it editable. Now we can move the axis. Be sure to turn off the enable axis button so that it does not change anymore. Then we can easily rotate the object relative to the location axis. Now we want to explain the work on the axes of polygons. To do this, insert a new cube. Then make it editable. Enter polygon mode and select one of the objects., its axes appeared to be exactly in the center of the polygon. Like all other objects, you can use the move, rotate, scale tools for them. Now we click on the move tool to display its settings. In the axis tab and there are settings related to the modeling axis. Which is to change the axes of polygons or edges. As you can see, by moving these sliders, we can easily change the location of the axes. This method is accurate, but if you want to change it for free, you can easily do it with the enable axis button. Now after changing the axes, you can rotate to see how the axes change.
There are now two ways to change the axes. You can specify where the axis is located in the position menu, and you can specify the orientation of the axis in the orientation menu.
To explain these, I import a few objects and put them together as child, parent and root ... make them editable ..Well, now we select the cube again and then we go to the polygon mode and select this polygon ..to appear Settings You have to click on the move tool again.
In the position menu, the default mode is on selected, the axis is on the center of the same polygon that we selected. Word mode moves the axis to center the software. .. object mode. There are two modes for this. As you can see, the axis was moved to the center of the main object on which the polygon is. Or you can move it to the axis of another object. This space called object has been activated and you can enter the object here. For example, I insert another object and move it. .. We return to the settings ... Now you can easily selected object and click and drag and release the object from the object manager into this empty space, To move the polygon axis to the object axis. Or use this eye dropper and select the object. To delete this object, click on this icon and clear. To explain the following states, we change the shape of the object slightly.
Root mode moves the axis center to the root object or parent mode ..
But the state of bunds is related to the boundaries of the object. If we select the object in model mode, you will see that there is an orange border to show the selected object. But if we go to the edit menu, then preferences, then viewport display and uncheck outline. You see the boundaries of the object. Well, we go back to the Polygon axis settings and select the bounds option mode, and with these sliders, the axes are placed on these boundaries.
The point mode . the axis move to average of point position .
Camera mode. Changes the axis based on the camera. As you can see, the z-axis is facing the camera and is exactly in the center of the screen and you move the axis wherever you change the camera.
Free mode is exactly like activating the enable axis button.
Well, now we return to the selected mode. And we explain orientation menu . We manage the axis rotation mode. The axis mode means that it is exactly perpendicular to the polygons. And is the default mode. World . align the axis to center of the software. The next root . that changes the direction of the axis along the axis of the root of the object. In the parent . align the direction of the parent
Normal state. To better understand this mode. Instead of a polygon, I select two polygons and select the axis .. to see the difference between. Now normal again, as you can see, gives us a general axis along the average of the normal axis. Now the align normal option is also activated. Move with the move tool. Now enable this option. Did you notice the difference in the direction of the movements? When this option is enabled, the polygons move in the direction of their normal axes instead of moving in the direction of the main axis.
The retain changes option is also for when you have made changes to the axis of a polygon and you want the rest of the settings of polygons to remain the same .
