PRESS NOTE During the course of investigation, the accused Syed Arshad On the complaint of Sri. Mohd. Khaja Miya, S/o Abdul Rasheed, aged 52 years, a case was registered regarding the murder of his son, Mohd. Mohd. Qaji Sohail (Rowdy Sheeter of Mailardevpally PS), on 02.09,2026. Althamash Chaku@ Bada Mujrim, along with his associates Mohammed Abdul Raheem and Mohammed Ishaq, were apprehended and interrogated. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had previous enmity with the deceased and disputes relating to ganja sales. With an intention to eliminate the deceased, the accused persons hatched a conspiracy. On the night of 01.09.2026, after consuming alcohol together, Mohammed Abdul Raheem and Mohammed Ishaq allegedly took the deceased on a two-wheeler towards Palle Cheruvu and attacked him with knives near Abdul Kareem Traders, resulting in his death. After the incident, the accused allegedly attempted to destroy evidence by burning the clothes worn during the offence and the knives used in the murder at a garbage dump near Vinayak Nagar Toddy shop. Based on their disclosure, police recovered two knives without handles, one knife and the mobile phones of the accused from the indicated location. It was further found that Syed Arshad @ Althamash Chaku @ Bada Mujrim has 13 previous cases, while Mohammed Abdul Raheem has 2 previous cases registered against them. The case was investigated by Mailardevpally Police under the directions of DCP Rajendranagar and ACP Chandrayangutta. The accused persons were arrested on 06.09.2026 at about 3:00 PM.
