Mil Mere Preetma Jio | ਮਿਲੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਾ ਜੀਉ | Raag Gauri | Mahalla 3 | Gurbani | Shabad | Kirtan | Dr. Harwinder Singh Ji, Ragi Satnam Singh Ji, Ragi Ishar Singh Ji, Ragi Kirpal Singh Ji (UK), Ragi Basant Singh Ji, Ragi Harnam Singh Ji, Ragi Basant Singh Ji and Jatha ਮਿਲੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਾ ਜੀਉ ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਖਰੀ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ॥ ਪਦ ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੋ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਸਹਾਰਾ ਹਾਂ। ਭਾਵ ਅਰਥ: ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਜੀਵ-ਆਤਮਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੜ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਧੂਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਸਹਾਰਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਸਲ ਆਸਰਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਹੈ। Meet me, O my Beloved Lord. Without You, I am utterly helpless and humble. Meaning: The soul expresses its longing to meet the Almighty. Without God's presence, life feels incomplete and without support. ਮੈ ਨੈਣੀ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਜੀਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਅੰਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਣੀ ॥ ਪਦ ਅਰਥ: ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੀਂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਅੰਨ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਪਾਣੀ। ਭਾਵ ਅਰਥ: ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਤੀਬਰ ਤਾਂਘ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਦੁਨਿਆਵੀ ਸੁੱਖ ਅਤੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੇ। ਮਨ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਤੜਫਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। I cannot sleep; my eyes find no rest. Neither food nor water appeals to me. Meaning: The longing for God is so deep that worldly comforts and physical pleasures lose their attraction. The heart constantly yearns for the Divine. ਪਾਣੀ ਅੰਨੁ ਨ ਭਾਵੈ ਮਰੀਐ ਹਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਿਰ ਕਿਉ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ ਪਦ ਅਰਥ: ਅੰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵੀ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦੇ। ਪਤੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਉਕੇ ਭਰਦਿਆਂ ਜਿੰਦ ਘੁਲਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸੁੱਖ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਮਿਲ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਭਾਵ ਅਰਥ: ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ ਇੰਨੀ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸੰਸਾਰਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੀ। ਅਸਲ ਸੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਹੈ। Neither food nor water pleases me. I am consumed by the pain of separation. How can I find peace without my Beloved Lord? Meaning: Nothing in this material world can provide lasting peace when the soul feels separated from God. True happiness comes only through Divine union. ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ ਕਰਉ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਜੇ ਗੁਰ ਭਾਵੈ ਜਿਉ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਿਵੈ ਮਿਲਾਈਐ ॥ ਪਦ ਅਰਥ: ਮੈਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇਣ। ਭਾਵ ਅਰਥ: ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਲੈਣੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। I offer my humble prayer before the Guru. If it pleases the Guru, may I be united with my Beloved in whatever way He wills. Meaning: The soul seeks the Guru's guidance and blessings. Through the Guru's teachings and grace, the path towards meeting God becomes possible. ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ॥ ਪਦ ਅਰਥ: ਸੁੱਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵ ਅਰਥ: ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। The Giver of Peace Himself unites the soul with Him. He Himself comes and meets the soul within its own home. Meaning: When God's grace descends, He Himself unites the soul with Him. The human heart becomes filled with Divine presence, peace and spiritual bliss. ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਨਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੪॥੨॥ ਪਦ ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਹਾਗਣ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕਿਤੇ ਦੂਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵ ਅਰਥ: ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜੀਵ-ਆਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਸੁਹਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਦੇ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ। Says Nanak: The soul-bride remains forever blessed and eternally united with her Beloved, for her Husband Lord neither dies nor ever departs. Meaning: God is eternal and everlasting. The soul that becomes connected with Him through love and devotion enjoys an everlasting spiritual union. ........................................................................ ........................................................................ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੱਚਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਇਸ ਪੂਰੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਭਾਵ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਧੂਰਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਛੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਤੜਫਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੀਵ-ਆਤਮਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਲਈ ਤਰਸਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਤੀਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ: ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਹੀ ਅਸਲ ਪੀੜ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸੁੱਖ ਹੈ। Overall Message of the Shabad This Shabad beautifully describes the deep longing of the human soul to unite with the Almighty. Just as a bride longs for her beloved husband when separated from him, the soul longs for its Divine Beloved. Without God, worldly possessions, food, wealth and comforts cannot provide lasting happiness. Through the Guru's guidance, humility, devotion and God's grace, the soul finds its way back to the Divine. The deepest message: The pain of life is separation from the Almighty, and the greatest happiness is to experience His eternal presence within.
