Drivers compete in custom-built 4x4 vehicles on some of the steepest and toughest tracks you will ever see. The cars climb hills made of mud, gravel, sand, rocks, and other rough terrain where normal vehicles would never make it. The sport started in Iceland in the 1960s and has grown into a popular motorsport in many countries. Formula Offroad is known for huge engines, massive tires, wild hill climbs, wheelies, and drivers pushing their vehicles to the limit. The goal is to score as many points as possible by getting through difficult obstacles and climbing as far as they can. Some tracks are timed, but most of the competition is about skill, control, and making it further than the other drivers.
