I Lost My Dad At 32 And My Mom At 34 — Here's What Nobody Told Me

Nobody hands you a manual when a parent dies. I lost my dad at 54 and my mom at 53 — I was 32 and 34 — and I had to figure out the hard parts alone: what paperwork actually matters, what benefits you're entitled to through work, who to call first, and how to keep functioning while everyone suddenly looks to you for answers.
