In our memories, Yuhan was still the sweet young photographer from Taiwan who had just graduated when she joined us as a second photographer - always punctual, incredibly humble, and a joy to work with. It feels like those days were only yesterday, but when we saw her again for her wedding, we could clearly see how much she had grown. She seemed more mature, more confident, and brighter than ever. Over the years, Yuhan went through a demanding chapter in the corporate world before finding her way back to what she truly loved - art. Then along came Matthew, someone who saw how hard she had been working and encouraged her to wholeheartedly pursue her artistic dreams. As one of Yuhan’s loved ones said during the speeches: “Then Matthew came along. He was easy-going, patient, emotionally intelligent, and tall - almost everything Yuhan had ever dreamed of.” Since we first met her, Yuhan has achieved so many of her goals. Her oil paintings have been exhibited in galleries, she has learnt to play the viola, and on her wedding day, she even performed for everyone herself - creating one of the most personal and unforgettable moments of the celebration. As we went through the photographs and edited their wedding films, we found ourselves reliving so many beautiful moments from the day. We are deeply grateful that our work brought Yuhan into our lives all those years ago, and so honoured that, years later, we were able to document such an important chapter of hers through both photography and film.
