I got this recording from Troy Duckworth:    • E Papa Waiari   I have just doubled each chorus and verse, to make it longer and added my phonetic interpretation, under the lyrics, to help students learn the song faster. E papa Waiari’ is a traditional Maori song. It is often accompanied by ti rakau (pairs of short sticks) that play on the beat. Stick games were originally used to train young men in the skills of spear fighting. Originally, the sticks were about a metre long and so the players stood or kneeled. These days, the sticks are about 30 cm long and it is common for players to be seated when they play the game. In this song, the beats are in groups of three and the stick patterns are organised in this way also. The Waiari is a stream that flows into the Kaituna River. The stream is near Te Puke in the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand.
