He said look ! it says US and it is OD green ! What the hell is it? One of the best things about metal detecting is that you never know what is waiting just beneath your feet. Nate has lived at his new place for most of the year now, but we've barely scratched the surface of exploring everything this old New Hampshire property has to offer. The land dates back to the colonial era, likely the mid-1700s, and over the centuries it has been home to farmers, families, and countless everyday activities that have left pieces of history scattered beneath the soil. Today we decided to search a corner of the property we had never explored before. At first it was the usual mix of old ammunition, iron, and discarded metal. Then Nate's detector locked onto a loud signal, and something large was sticking out of the ground. As he pulled it free, we immediately noticed two things. First...it had heavy springs attached to it. Second...it was stamped "U.S." Then another clue appeared. The original finish was still visible, and it was painted olive drab green. Now we were both standing there asking the same question... What is this? At nearly three feet long, it isn't something either of us expected to recover while metal detecting a backyard. We still don't know exactly what it is or why it ended up buried here, but discoveries like this are exactly why we continue exploring old properties. Sometimes the most exciting finds aren't coins or relics—they're the mysteries that send you searching for answers. If we identify this unusual U.S.-stamped object, we'll be sure to let everyone know. Stealth Diggers is a team of friends exploring forgotten New England landscapes, researching local history, and recovering the everyday objects that help tell the story of the people who lived here. We believe in History Before Beauty—because understanding a find is every bit as important as finding it. If you enjoy metal detecting, relic hunting, colonial history, forgotten homesites, and exploring New England one signal at a time, you're in the right place. Thanks for joining Charlie, Nate, Waynos, Dame, and the Stealth Diggers crew. We'll see you on the next adventure. #stealthdiggers #metaldetecting #relichunting #mysteryfind #usstamped #newengland #newhampshire #colonialhistory #historybeforebeauty #exploring #historicalartifacts T shirts on fourth wall https://not-thursday-shop.fourthwall.com Pay Pal tip jar https://www.youtube.com/redirect?even...
