The young Chelsea defender has the versatility, athleticism and composure to become a really important player under Xabi Alonso. 👀 🧠 WHY ACHEAMPONG FITS ALONSO’S SYSTEM Acheampong’s ability to play both centre-back and right-back makes him particularly valuable in Alonso’s system. He is comfortable on the ball, can defend one-v-one situations and has the physical qualities to deal with quick, direct attackers. 🔒 DEFENSIVE QUALITY BEYOND HIS YEARS What stands out is his willingness to engage opponents, defend aggressively and step into space when the opportunity presents itself. He has the tools to defend wide areas while also contributing to Chelsea’s build-up. 🚀 CHELSEA NEED TO TRUST HIM MORE At just 20, Acheampong still has plenty to learn, but the potential is obvious.
