Hampi, known as Kishkindha in the Ramayana age is a town in the Vijayanagara district in the Indian state of Karnataka.Located along the Tungabhadra River. It’s a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE.
Hampi is mentioned in Ashokan epigraphy and texts such as the Ramayana and the Puranas of Hinduism as Pampaa Devi Tirtha Kshetra.Hampi was a part of Vijayanagara, the capital of the Hindu Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th-century.It became a center of economic and administrative activity of the Deccan region kingdom founded in opposition to Islamic Sultanates in South India. After over two centuries of rule, the Empire was defeated and abandoned. Since the 19th-century, its ruins have been an important site for archaeologists and historians.

1. Kadalekalu Ganesha
The Kadalekalu Ganesha, named after Ganesha's gram-shaped belly. A colonnaded, open mandapa leads to the sanctum, which houses a monolithic image of Ganesha more than 4.5 metres (15 ft) high.
2. Sasivekalu Ganesha
The Sasivekalu Ganesha, named after Ganesha's mustard seed-shaped belly. It is a 2.4 metres (7.9 ft)-high monolith that was also carved in-situ from extant rock. The Sasivekalu Ganesha is carved with his mother Parvati, in whose lap he sits. She is only visible from the back of the statue.
3. The Krishna ( Balkrishna ) Temple
The Krishna temple, also called Balakrishna temple, on the other side of Hemakuta hill, is about 1 kilometre (0.62 miles) south of Virupaksha temple. It is dated to 1515 CE; this part of the Hampi complex is called Krishnapura in inscriptions.
4. Ugra Laxmi Narsimnha
the largest monolithic Yoga-Narasimha avatar of Vishnu in Hampi. the shrine for a 6.7 metres (22 ft)-high Narasimha seated in a yoga position. The Narasimha monolith originally had goddess Lakshmi with him.
5. Shree Badavilinga
The 3 metres (9.8 ft) Shiva Linga stands in water in a cubical chamber and has three eyes sketched on its top. the largest monolithic Shiva Linga in Hampi.
6. Bhojana Shala
Bhojana Shaale, carved on stone, is located behind the royal palace on the Kamalapura road. Researchers believe this was a community dining area for soldiers.
The plates, Bowls and plantain leaves are carved on the stone in two rows. The channel in between the rows might have been used for serving food. Or it could have been a water channel.
7. Hazara Rama Temple
The Hazara Rama temple, referred to as the Ramachandra temple in inscriptions, occupied the western part of the urban core in the royal centre section of Hampi. This temple was dedicated to Rama of the Ramayana fame, and an avatar of Vishnu. It was the ceremonial temple for the royal family. The temple is dated to the early 15th century and is attributed to Devaraya I.
8. The Gejjala Mantapa
The Gejjala Mantapa is an ancient structure in Hampi with a highly impressive architecture. It is located at a short distance from the famous Vittala Temple. The Gejjala Mantapa is believed to have been used for religious functions during the days of the Vijayanagara Empire.
9. The Kuduregombe Mantapa
The Kuduregombe Mantapa in Hampi is a prominent monument known for its architectural brilliance. The monument is situated near the Chariot Road, in an area that lies midway between the Gejjala Mantapa and the famous Vittala Temple.
10. Pushkarani
Pushkaranis are sacred tanks attached to temples. Most of the large temples in Hampi has a tank attached to it. The tanks cater to the ritual and functional aspects of the temple and life surrounding it.
11. The Vijaya Vithala Temple
The Vitthala temple and market complex is over 3 kilometres. It is an artistically sophisticated Hindu temple in Hampi, and is part of the sacred centre of Vijayanagara. The Vitthala temple has a Garuda shrine in the form of a stone chariot in the courtyard; it is an often-pictured symbol of Hampi. The mandapa has 56 carved stone beams of different diameters, shape, length and surface finish that produces musical sounds when struck; according to local traditional belief, this hall was used for public celebrations of music and dancing.
12. Vishnu Temple
There are many temples dedicated to the various forms and avatars of Lord Vishnu in and around Hampi. This particular temple is a large and ruined granite structure. Unlike most Hindu temples, the temple tower is not decorated with a lot of carvings.
