I had an opportunity to rigorously test the range of optical filters available from Svbony for astrophotography. I measured filter spectra with a benchtop spectrometer, made predictions of filter performance on different target types, and collected sample images for comparison with existing filters from other competing brands such as Optolong, Baader, and Antlia. Filters tested include: SV183 IR pass SV220 7nm multi-narrowband (both OIII-Ha and OIII-SII versions) SV220 3nm multi-narrowband (both Rev. 0 and Rev. 1 versions) SV227 5nm SHO narrowband set SV240 multi-purpose multi-narrowband 00:00 - 04:45 - Introduction 04:46 - 13:20 - Test Description 13:21 - 14:44 - Results: General 14:45 - 17:59 - Results: SV183 18:00 - 21:38 - Results: SV220 7nm 21:39 - 24:06 - Results: SV220 3nm 24:07 - 27:15 - Results: SV227 27:16 - 30:16 - Results: SV240 30:17 - 32:46 - Results: Halos 32:47 - 33:31 - Results: Cost Effectiveness 33:32 - 36:55 - Conclusions
