Join us on an unforgettable journey through the majestic Himalayas, as we tackle the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek and two of the iconic three passes! This adventure took us over 156km of rugged terrain, high-altitude passes, and some of the most awe-inspiring peaks in the world, all in the shadow of Mount Everest. 🏔️ Our journey began with unexpected challenges. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, we encountered extreme weather, including severe rainfall, flooding, and landslides that tragically took the lives of over 200 people. Our thoughts are with all those affected. The harsh conditions led to canceled flights to Lukla, forcing us to take a long jeep ride and add a day of trekking just to start the route. Facing time constraints, we made the tough call to skip one of the three passes and instead focus on EBC and two of the region's incredible passes. Here’s a breakdown of our journey: 0:00 - Intro 0:39 - Kathmandu to start of the trek 2:50 - Day 1 - Paiya to Phakding 3:48 - Day 2 - Phakding to Namche Bazaar 4:58 - Day 3 - Acclimatisation Namche Bazaar 5:58 - Day 4 - Namche Bazaar to Pangboche 7:02 - Day 5 - Pangboche to Dingboche 8:01 - Day 6 - Acclimatisation hike Nangkartshang Peak (5073m / 16,644 ft) 9:14 - Day 7 - Dingboche to Loboche 10:20 - Day 8 - Loboche, Everest Base Camp (5350m / 17,552 ft) to Gorakshep 12:16 - Day 9 - Gorakshep, Kala Patthar (5550m / 18,208 ft) to Dzonglha 14:19 - Day 10 - Dzonglha, Cho La Pass (5370m / 17,618 ft) to Dragnag 17:09 - Day 11 - Dragnag, Gokyo Ri (5357m / 17,575 ft) to Gokyo 19:56 - Day 12 - Gokyo, Renjo La Pass (5,365m / 17,601 ft) to Lungdhen 22:28 - Day 13 - Lungdhen to Namche Bazaar 24:29 - Day 14 - Namche Bazaar to Phakding 25:37 - Day 15 - Phakding to Lukla With over 9,000 meters of total elevation gain, this trek tested our endurance and rewarded us with views unlike anything we’d ever seen.
