Calico Ghost Town: Train Ride, Old Schoolhouse & Haunt Season Fun

The Sullivan Scouts are headed to Calico Ghost Town for the very first time! This old mining town was rebuilt by Walter Knott, and it feels like stepping back in time. We walk down the main street, peek into the shops, and check out cool old buildings like the schoolhouse. Then it’s taste test time. We try some beef jerky and a bottle of sarsaparilla, an old-fashioned Western soda. Will we like it? We also hop on the train for a ride! We visited while the town was getting ready for the 2026 haunt season, so there were lots of fun spooky surprises everywhere.
