One Life to Live 2/19/1991

Viki has a nightmare that Carlo comes for his revenge over Johnny’s death and her appeals for Gabrielle to help her go unanswered. Clint hears the sleeping Viki crying out and runs to her bedside to comfort her. Tina wants to go with him, but Cord convinces him to leave things to Clint. Kevin and Bo try to send Joey back to Asa’s house. Lisa stops by to check whether Viki is doing any better. Carlo and Gabrielle sit at separate tables at Andy’s Place, but covertly discuss their next moves. Carlo wants an update, but Gabrielle says she couldn’t get in to see Niki today because there were too many people around. Carlo says he needs Gabrielle to get Niki to meet him on a houseboat in 90 minutes. Carlo refuses to let Carlo pay, saying they don’t want his dirty money there. Jessica calls Bo and says she wants to come home, but Bo suggests he and Joey come over there and they have a little party instead. Meanwhile, Kevin and Lisa decide to go to Andy’s Place. Thinking the kids have all left, Viki comes downstairs dressed as Niki, only to find Joey still hanging around. He tells her he wants his mother back, but before she has a chance to respond, Clint and Bo arrive and Bo sends Joey to the car. Viki tells Bo her plan: she is going out tonight as Niki (with Clint following close behind) and hoping to figure out what Carlo is up to. Bo heads to Asa’s and Clint embraces Viki. Cord walks in to see them hugging, but Viki plays it off convincingly. Cord tells that Briggs called and there is an emergency at the Banner requiring Clint’s attention. Clint is about to leave to check it out when Gabrielle arrives, ostensibly with a baptism gift she forgot to bring earlier. “Niki” invites her in, hoping to turn the tables and use her to get to Carlo. Clint tells her not to leave until he’s back. Kerry wishes Rika a belated Happy Valentine’s Day. They run into Kevin and Lisa at the bar and Rika comments that those two seem to be getting really close. Kerry asks whether she and he are getting closer as well. Kevin confides in Lisa about how hard it is to deal with his mother’s condition. Niki tells Gabrielle she’d like to get out of there and find a bar or nightclub. Gabrielle says she knows a perfect party they can go to. Niki, stalling, says she’s going to freshen up her hair and makeup and then they can leave. Alex asks Bo whether the drug Carlo stole from her father is the cause of Viki’s changing into Niki. He says that is the reason, but that it wasn’t his story to tell. Joey and Jessica teach Bo how to play Twister. Alex agrees to play too, and soon the pair are all tangled up on the board together. Tina says she can’t find Viki anywhere. When she asks Gabrielle, Gabrielle explains she went to fix her hair, but she must have given her the slip. Gabrielle leaves in search of Niki, who it turns out was hiding in her back seat.
