Was Iron Man (2008) Better BEFORE the MCU Existed - Road to Doomsday

After 18 years, Iron Man (2008) might be even better than I remembered—and one of the biggest reasons is that the MCU didn’t exist yet. Going back to the movie that started it all, I’m reviewing how Iron Man holds up today, including its pacing, Tony Stark’s character development, the reveal of Obadiah Stane, the nostalgia of its early-2000s technology, and why its simple storytelling still works so well. This is the first entry in my Road to Doomsday series! I’ll be revisiting and ranking the MCU movies and the Fox X-Men movies leading up to Avengers: Doomsday. Iron Man earns a 9/10—but will it remain near the top of the final ranking? Do you think Iron Man still holds up? Let me know where you would rank it!
