Local reports describe the airport highway as the airport’s main external access route, with elevated main roads, ground-level service roads, six-lane express sections, and an 80 km/h design speed. It opened to traffic in late 2025, giving Jiaxing a faster connection between the city, the airport area, and the regional expressway network. Jiaxing Nanhu Airport is also a major new transport project in the Yangtze River Delta. The airport features a 3,400-meter runway, 56 aircraft stands, and planned capacity for both passenger travel and large-scale air cargo. Together, the airport and highway show a newer, smoother, more modern side of night driving in Zhejiang.
