With heavy rains approaching the Zagros Mountains, this family is working hard to protect their mountain cabin and make a safer home for their little puppy, Simas. 🐕🌧️ Today, the mother and her children begin cementing the roof of Simas’s small shelter. They also repair the roof of their mountain cabin with cement to prevent leaks and protect their home during the coming rainy days. While the family works, Zahra lights a fire and prepares tea. Amir-Mehdi brings gravel from the riverbed and spreads it in front of the cabin to help keep the ground from becoming muddy when the rain arrives. Shahrokh joins his mother and brother, helping with their work and enjoying playful moments with Simas. As evening arrives, the family gathers around the warm fireplace, waiting for their mother's dinner. The wonderful smell of her cooking fills their little mountain home after another long day of hard work.
