Through Linjiang Hengjie to reach the center of the city, pass through Shiban Street to the north of the city, pass through Qixingkan and Dingyuan Stele to the west of the city. You can also access the land outside this gate, turn north along the south bank of the Jialing River to Hechuan and reach the north of the river. But the road out of this gate is very rugged and difficult to walk. [1] There are valleys everywhere, and due to the limitations of the Jialing River manifold, it is not necessary to take this route to expand the northwest of the county, which is different from the southwest of the county where it can be expanded through the Nanji Gate. So although this gate can connect to the land, it is not important. History Chongqing has a long history and has been prosperous for a long time. In the late Song Dynasty, Hongya Gate was mentioned, but Linjiang Gate was not mentioned. In the fourth year of the Hongwu reign of the early Ming Dynasty (1371), Dai Ding was ordered to build a city, and the attached walls (the inner wall being the city, and the outer wall being the city) were set up with two chambers. The outer river chamber was located by the Yangtze River, and the inner river chamber was located by the Jialing River. The Linjiang Gate was located to the east of the northern wall of the city, and the outer part of the city belonged to the inner river chamber. During the Qing Dynasty, there were 15 chambers in the attached Guo area. Along the Jialing River were the West Water Chamber, Qiansi Chamber, Hongya Chamber, Linjiang Chamber, and Dingyuan Chamber. Linjiangmen belongs to Linjiangxiang. It borders Hongya xiang to the east and Dingyuan xiang to the west. The terrain of Linjiang Gate is higher than other gates, and it is far from the river. Among the nine gates, there are only two by the Jialing River, Linjiang Gate and Qiansi Gate. Therefore, these two gates have frequent pedestrian and material traffic. The outside of Linjiang Gate is quite lively, making it a relatively large town. With the renovation of the old city of Chongqing, the Linjiang Gate of Chongqing was gradually demolished in 1992. Daijiaxiang Old Street is located on the north side of Linjiang Road in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, and stands on a cliff several tens of meters high. In the 46th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1707), this area was adjacent to the city wall of Linjiangmen, and the early poor built households along the wall to live. In the third year of the Qing Dynasty's Tongzhi reign (1864), with the increasing frequency of domestic and international trade exchanges, this place gradually became the main venue for gatherings. There are historical buildings such as Hongya Gate, Zhenjiang Temple, Shuncheng Street, and Gospel Hall here, especially the surrounding area of Zhenjiang Temple, which is the main activity area for people from all walks of life.
