Yuval Raphael - New day will rise

🎥 Reaction to Yuval Raphael – “New Day Will Rise” (Israel Eurovision 2025) In this emotional and heartfelt reaction, I dive into Yuval Raphael’s stirring performance of “New Day Will Rise,” Israel’s entry for Eurovision 2025. This powerful pop ballad, written by Keren Peles and produced by Tomer Biran, carries profound personal and national significance. Yuval, a survivor of the tragic October 7, 2023, Nova festival attack, channels her experience into a song that resonates with themes of resilience and hope . The song’s multilingual lyrics—sung in English, French, and Hebrew—add layers of depth, with lines like “New day will rise, life will go on” offering a universal message of perseverance. Yuval’s live performance in Basel was visually striking, featuring a symbolic 5.5-meter chandelier and a staircase, reminiscent of Theodor Herzl’s iconic image overlooking the Rhine, adding historical context to her act . Despite the political controversies surrounding Israel’s participation, including calls for exclusion from future contests due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza , Yuval’s performance transcended politics, earning her first place in the public televote and an overall second-place finish with 357 points . Join me as I react to this moving performance, exploring the emotional depth and artistic expression that Yuval brings to the Eurovision stage.
