DIY Tissue Holder – Step-by-Step Instructions Step 1: Flatten the Air-Dry Clay Roll out a piece of air-dry clay on a clean surface. Use a rolling pin (or a bottle) to flatten it evenly to about 5–8 mm thick. Step 2: Cut a Large Rectangle Using a ruler and a sharp blade or craft knife, cut the clay into a large rectangle. This will be the main body of your tissue holder. Step 3: Add Coffee Grounds Texture Sprinkle dried used coffee grounds onto the surface of the clay. Press them gently into the clay using your fingers or palm to create a natural, rustic texture. This step adds both style and sustainability to your project! Step 4: Diagonal Cut for Tissue Opening Make a diagonal cut across the top edge of the rectangle. This angled cut is where the tissues will come out, and it gives a nice, modern look. Step 5: Let It Dry Leave the clay to air-dry completely. This can take 24 to 48 hours depending on temperature and humidity. Make sure it’s fully hardened before moving to the next step.
