Made-Up Stories with Miss Rani and Snowy – Kipper's Basket 🐻‍❄️🐾✨

Welcome back to Made-Up Stories with Miss Rani and Snowy! Today, we are opening up a wonderful, classic book featuring everyone's favourite puppy, Kipper. But remember our special game—we are completely ignoring the written words! Instead, we are using our "imagination eyes" to look at the beautiful illustrations and tell a brand-new, cheerful adventure tale called Kipper's Basket! 🧺🐶 As a trained Early Years teacher, I love this activity because it champions "reading the pictures." It gives pre-readers the independence to enjoy books entirely on their own, builds rich oral vocabulary as they describe Kipper's activities, and shows children that the exact same book can hold a completely new story every time we open it!✨ Today’s Imagination Challenges: 🗣️ Action Words: Look closely at how Kipper moves through his garden today! Can you think of different words to describe his actions as he opens the gate, splashes in his paddling pool, or digs in the sand? 🎨 Color Clues: Kipper finds some wonderful things outside today! Can you call out the colors of his favorite items, like the bright red fish in his pool or his red bucket in the sand pit? 🔴 🔄 The Story Switch: Remember, we can use this exact same book again to make up a totally different plotline. Where should Kipper go exploring next time we look at the pictures? A Note for Parents & Carers 🏠 One Video a Day: Stick to our golden rule! Enjoy just this one creative session today so your little learner can fully absorb the pictures without getting overwhelmed. Make Your Own Hunt: After the video ends, try grabbing a familiar picture book at home. Look purely at the illustrations and take turns making up a completely unique tale together! 🎈 Hit the bell icon so you never miss our next imaginative reading adventure with Miss Rani and Snowy on Miss Rani EYFS. 🎈 Share this video with a friend who loves classic picture books, cozy adventures, and creative play! #MadeUpStories #MissRaniAndSnowy #KippersBasket #ReadingThePictures #EarlyYearsLiteracy #VocabularyDevelopment #EYFS #LoveOfReading #CreativeStorytelling
