1987 Garbage Pail Kids Sticker Non-Sports Cards Top 20 Highest Priced PSA 03/15/2025

The 1987 Garbage Pail Kids stickers are a nostalgic treasure for fans of 80s pop culture. Produced by Topps, these quirky and irreverent stickers were a parody of the popular Cabbage Patch Kids dolls. Featuring grotesque yet humorous characters with pun-filled names, the Garbage Pail Kids became an instant hit among children and collectors. The 1987 series included the 7th, 8th, and 9th series of Garbage Pail Kids, introducing dozens of new characters to the growing collection. Popular cards from these sets include “Jason Basin”, “Greaser Greg”, and “Mugged Marcus.” Each character had an alternate name variation, adding an extra layer of collectability. The artwork was created by talented artists like John Pound and Tom Bunk, whose imaginative and often outrageous designs became iconic. The stickers also featured witty back designs, including comic strips and faux advertisements that satirized contemporary culture. Despite facing controversy and schoolyard bans due to their crude humor, Garbage Pail Kids maintained a strong fan base. Today, the 1987 series remains a sought-after collectible, with rare cards and mint-condition stickers commanding significant value. For collectors and fans, these stickers are a humorous and nostalgic glimpse into the rebellious spirit of the 1980s. More videos for you to check out!
