🇨🇳 Laid off at 30 in China | Pretending to Work

After being laid off last week at age 30, I haven't told my family yet. Today, I still packed up, caught the morning bus, and pretended to go to work as usual. From spending hours at an internet cafe sending out resumes, to killing time in a bookstore, to sitting quietly outside my apartment building waiting for the right time to go upstairs—this is my day of pretending to work in China. Regarding whether to tell my family, I've made up my mind: I will talk to my wife soon, but I plan to keep it from my aging parents for now to save them from worry.
