A disturbing video from Odisha’s Dhenkanal has surfaced days after the Jamui harassment case in Bihar. The video allegedly shows a young couple being stopped on the road leading to Kapilash, surrounded by a group of people, and harassed. The young man appears to be assaulted, while some people in the video are seen behaving inappropriately with the woman. She can be heard repeatedly pleading with them to let the couple go. Three people have been arrested in connection with the Odisha incident, while police are investigating what led to the confrontation. The incidents in Odisha and Bihar have also raised questions around moral policing, public harassment and the right of individuals to live their personal lives without intimidation.
