Fifteen days, four people and three generations. In August 2026 we sailed aboard MS Fridtjof Nansen along the west coast of Greenland, from Nuuk to the edge of the sea ice at Pikialasorsuaq and back again. A humpback whale named Brigitte, a polar bear on the ice, a polar plunge into −1.4 °C seawater, Siorapaluk, the northernmost settlement in Greenland, and a visit to Ole and his father Piuaitsoq at home in Qaanaaq.
