You're In My Head Like a Catchy Song (Demo 2)

Song Name: You're In My Head Like a Catchy Song Subtitle: Demo 2 Original Name: MLP713 In My Head Like a Catchy Song R2 Episode: S07E13 "The Perfect Pear" Key: D major --- 2 of 4. Trivia: Early iterations of the lyrics (not found in any demo) seem to have the middle dialogue replaced with the dialogue that is found after the song in the final version ("Hey, no fair, I was gonna tell you the same thing / You're just mad I beat you to it"), followed by Bright Mac singing a modified version of Pear Butter's song ("leaves may fall" becomes "apples fall" and "prickly path" becomes "bumpy road"). --- Differences with the final song: Instrumental is different from "Piano Demo v3". Dialogue between Bright Mac and Pear Butter is different. Bright Mac seems to be singing the harmony on the second singing of "On a prickly path that goes on for miles". There is an additional verse / repetition of "And even if the world tells us it's wrong" that cleanly ends the song (rather than dialogue from Bright Mac). The final verse in the final version of the song and the additional verse found in the demos are swapped. --- Lyrics (adapted from MLP wiki): We're far apart in every way But you're the best part of my day And sure as I breathe the air I know we are the perfect pair On a prickly path that goes on for miles But it's worth it just to see you smile And I cannot be pulled apart From the hold you have on my heart And even if the world tells us it's wrong You're in my head like a catchy song Bright Mac: Wow, [I love it. It's really good!] Pear Butter: [Really?] You like it? # Bright Mac: [Are you kidding? I love it!] The seasons change and leaves may fall But I'll be with you through them all And rain or shine, you'll always be mine On a prickly path that goes on for miles** You're the only one who makes it all worthwhile** (line moved) [And even if the world tells us it's wrong** You're in my head like a catchy song** Mmmmm] And you should not blame me, too If I can't help fallin' in love with you...
