RAMZI PAHELWAN - RUSTUM-I-HIND | Boota Pahlewan | रामजी पहलवान Ramzi was a great wrestler in the service of the Gwaekor of Baroda. At the time of the Prince of Wales’ visit to India in 1875-76, he was challenged by Ali Baksh of Amritsar, the father of the Great Ghulam. Ramzi won the bout and was awarded a valuable ‘gurj’ (mace) which became the insignia of the champion of India, carrying with it the title Rustum-i-Hind. Ramzi later lost the gurj and title to a younger wrestler by the name of Boota Pahelwan. #ramzi #pahelwan #boota
