Skinning Up to Saddleback Summit!

Saddleback might be best known for the ski area — we are certainly big fans and ski the resort regularly, but it is also one of the 4,000ft summits in Maine. The long exposed ridgeline also drops down and then rises again to Saddleback Horn, making it a potential 2 for 1 summit day. While there are multiple trails to the summit, we opted to skin up the uphill trail at Saddleback Mountain, and push up to the true summit from there, then ski down the resort's trails at the end of the day!
