UNC vs Ga Tech - Jan 31st, 1999 - Dean Smith Center

Despite missing key players, including star point guard Ed Cota and dealing with foul trouble from top scorer Ademola Okulaja, No. 10 North Carolina edged past Georgia Tech 75-66. Kris Lang and Max Owens led the offense with 17 and 16 points respectively, while freshman Ronald Curry stepped up with 13 points in his first start. Georgia Tech briefly took the lead in the second half, but UNC responded with clutch plays to regain control. Jason Collier scored 19 for Georgia Tech, which couldn’t capitalize on UNC’s depleted lineup.
