The focus of this book is the Panda Bear. The story begins with a panda bear asking “What do you see?” This question is repeated throughout the book, as the panda encounters different animals and asks them the same question. Each animal, in turn, answers by describing what they see, leading to the introduction of another animal. This pattern repeats until the final animal is introduced until a child is introduced. The child then lists the animals that are featured throughout the story, ending with “all wild and free, that’s what I see”. The language used in the book is simple and repetitive, making it easy for young children to understand and follow along. The illustrations are bright, colourful and whimsical, and they perfectly capture the essence of each animal being described.
