Troublesome Night 6 (1999) - Hong Kong Movie Review

Erik, the Asian Movie Enthusiast presents: A review of “Troublesome Night 6”, a Hong Kong horror/thriller from 1999 that stars Louis Koo. This was directed by Herman Yau. “Troublesome Night 6” scraps the anthology structure of previous installments and relies on a single storyline: a detective (played by Louis Koo) investigates the spirit of a dead woman who may be behind a series of killings. Some tabloid reporters stalked this woman (who was a model, while alive) for their gossip column. The model, having broken up with her rich boyfriend, later commits suicide to escape all the pressure. The reporters relentlessly post the photos of her dead body in their tabloid magazines. Years later, these reporters begin to die violent deaths, and the detective is assigned to track down the perpetrator. He also sees this woman at the crime scenes, even though it has since been four years since her death. This is one of the better installments of this movie franchise.
