David Charvet Performs 'Leap of Faith' Live at the TMF Awards on April 4 2002. David Franck Charvet, born 15 May 1972 is a French singer, actor, model, and television personality. Charvet was born and raised in Lyon, France, the son of Christiane Charvet Haddad and businessman Paul Guez, founder of the Sasson brand of jeans in the 1980s. He won a green card through the Morrison visa lottery in the early 1990s. In 1999, he left acting to pursue a music career.
