The Journey to a Sahabi Shrine in Pakistan | Hazrat Sahal Bin Adi RA | KOH E SULEMAN MOTORCYCLE TOUR

This video captures my motorcycle and trekking journey to explore the shrine of Hazrat Sahl bin Adi which is traditionally associated with one of the early Muslim military campaigns toward Makran, while a shrine identified with him stands in Darra Kaha, Rajanpur, near the historic routes of the Koh-e-Suleman region. In this video, we travel to the Shrine of Hazrat Sahl bin Adi, explore its remote location and discover the fascinating history associated with this Sahabi shrine in Pakistan. Historical accounts of the early Muslim expansion into Makran describe a campaign in 23 AH, during the reign of Hazrat Umar (RA). Sources name Suhail/Suhayl bin Adi among the commanders involved in the Makran campaign, alongside Hakam bin Amr and others. The story takes us from the history of the Sahaba and early Islamic campaigns to a remote shrine in present-day Punjab. The shrine is located in the Darra Kaha area of Rajanpur District, close to an ancient route leading toward the Koh-e-Suleman and Fort Munro region. A contemporary listing also identifies the Shrine of Sahabi Hazrat Sahl bin Adi near Tibbi Lundan, Rajanpur. Reaching the shrine itself is part of the adventure. After leaving the main route, visitors continue toward Sahabi Mohar, where the vehicle journey ends and the walking trail begins. The trek through the rugged landscape takes roughly an hour, making this not only a historical journey but also a beautiful mountain adventure in Rajanpur. The shrine is surrounded by a stone boundary, with other graves in the surrounding area. A mosque has also been constructed nearby, along with accommodation for pilgrims and visitors. The remote setting, mountain scenery and ancient routes give the location a unique atmosphere. This journey also explores the wider history of Makran and early Islam in the region. Historical sources describe the Makran campaign of 23 AH and record Muslim forces reaching the Makran frontier. The exact details and identification of some commanders and locations vary between historical accounts, making this an especially interesting subject for anyone fascinated by Islamic history and the early Muslim presence in South Asia. For Muslims interested in the Sahaba, Islamic heritage, historical graves and forgotten historical places of Pakistan, this is a journey worth watching. The road to the shrine is challenging, but the landscape of Darra Kaha and Koh-e-Suleman makes the journey memorable.
