In "Sounds Like Art," where music meets the visual arts, singer Sting—winner of 17 Grammy Awards—engages in a dialogue with paintings by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Judith Leyster at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
British singer-songwriter Gordon Sumner, aka Sting, pays homage to the Old Masters at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The septuagenarian gentleman, former member of The Police, drew inspiration from paintings by Rembrandt, notably The Night Watch—displayed in a glass case due to its restoration—as well as works by Vermeer and Judith Leyster. The musician accompanies himself on a 17th-century guitar, loaned for the event, and performs excerpts from his musical The Last Ship, as well as some of his greatest hits.
