If your Bernina needle bar is not moving but everything else is, then this video may be the answer. These machines have a basting feature where the needle bar is disengaged for a period and this creates the long basting stitches. The mechanism can become seized up with lack of use and lack of lubrication. In this, part 2, I show how to access the mechanism by removing the covers and gaining better access via the rear. This may be necessary if trying to fix it via the front (take up lever slot) is unsuccessful. I also cover tightening the rigidity plate screws in the correct sequence. Part 1 covers freeing up the mechanism from the front of the machine which is quicker and requires only a good light, a pair or tweezers and lubricant.    • Bernina Needle Bar not Moving - Part 1 - M...   Please consider supporting the channel at Patreon -   / sewingmachines   Index: 0:00 - Introduction 1:35 - Removing the side panel 4:58 - Removing the rear panel 5:57 - Flipping down the electronic panel 6:30 - Removing the rigidity panel 8:10 - A close look at the mechanism from the rear 11:29 - Installing the rigidity panel 14:13 - Assembling remaining parts 17:55 - Conclusion and thanks Web Site - http://www.institches.co.nz
