Explaining the sentiment of achieving salvation as the ultimate goal, Shri Krishna says that: Upon attaining Me, great souls do not take rebirth in this world of sorrows, because they have reached the ultimate abode. All the worlds including the heavens are of rebirth, but those who attain Me are freed from the cycle of birth and death.
