Odeceixe is situated at the mouth of the River Seixe. Odeceixe is located on the border between the Algarve and the Alentejo. This sandy beach is on the southern side of the outflow to the sea. The northern side of the river has a backdrop of steep cliffs which shelter the beach Classificada como uma das 7 Maravilhas – Praias de Portugal, a praia de Odeceixe, localizada no extremo norte do concelho de Aljezur, tem a particularidade de conter uma praia fluvial, pois é limitada a nascente e a norte pela Ribeira de Seixe, que faz fronteira natural com o Alentejo. Tem por isso banhos de mar e de rio.
