First Time Experiencing Navratri in Surat! ❤️💃 | Global Garba Village An impromptu plan turned into one of the BEST Navratri experiences ever! 🥹❤️ All thanks to my cousin sister Ritu, who lives in Surat, I got to experience Surat’s Garba culture for the very first time, and I had the best two days! We spent two amazing days at The Global Garba Village in Surat, a grand Navratri celebration bringing together Gujarati folk music, traditional Garba, festive decor and an incredible atmosphere. The event featured amazing artists, including Umesh Barot and Raj Gadhvi, along with their teams. Watching the live performances and dancing with everyone was such a memorable experience! 💃✨ The energy at Surat Garba is something else. The Garba starts late at night and goes on till around 5 AM, and people just keep dancing! 😍 One of my favourite parts was watching the 32-step Dodhiya Garba. It’s a sequence of coordinated Garba steps performed in rhythm, with everyone moving together in a circle. Seeing so many people follow the steps in one flow was amazing! The next afternoon, Ritu and I went chaniya choli shopping, explored Surat on her Activa and enjoyed some lovely cousin time before heading out for another night of Garba. ❤️ From spontaneous plans and shopping to live folk music, traditional Garba and dancing till early morning, these two days were truly special.
