Herping Lebanon: The Largest Viper and the Longest Colubrid

This video sums up two of my latest #herping trips during which we encountered two titans of the local #herpetofauna . First trip took us to a dried river valley that was reported to be a hot spot for the largest local #viper species: The Blunt-nosed Viper (Macrovipera lebetina obtusa). Second trip was an unexpected visit to one of Lebanese Cedar reserves with amazing unexplored #fauna, during which we were lucky enough to encounter an unusual morph (maybe subspecies) of the longest local #snake: Large Whip Snake (Dolicophis jugularis).
