Mastering With Ozone 9: The Exciter

Confused on how to use an exciter? Simply need somewhere to start? Let me show you how you can improve certain areas in your track with an exciter and NOT overdo it. It takes an ear and the ability to be cautious but the payoff can be tremendous. Tip There is a difference between the DRIVE and MIX when it comes to an exciter. The DRIVE is going to determine the amount of deviation of harmonics. There may be different flavors of TUBE or TAPE for example. Just turn the DRIVE up until you hear what you like then balance that in your track. Then, turn down the MIX, followed by turning it up to balance where you want the harmonics to sit.
