THE COST OF DOUBTING (part 6); Acts 27:9-11,31 NIV - October 4, 2026 9:30am

Paul warned them, but they believed the experts over the prophet. They set sail into a fair wind — and it became a trap. Doubt isn't always fear; sometimes it's confidence in the wrong voice. God's strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). He says, "Fear not, for I am with you" (Isaiah 41:10). Through Christ we can do all things (Philippians 4:13). Yet we still trust the smooth wind over the still, small voice. Gideon's army was too large, yet God chose the few (Judges 7:2). Elijah stood alone against hundreds (1 Kings 18:19, 24). Noah found grace in a corrupt world (Genesis 6:5, 8). Don't be conformed to this world (Romans 12:2) — the cost of doubting is sailing past God's warning into the storm He told you to avoid.
