"Breakout" – I made the version I always wanted to hear!

I've loved "Breakout" by Swing out Sister since it came out, but the version I really wanted to hear didn't exist. So... after 39 years... I made it myself! Back in 1987, I sprang for the 12" single version, which had three remixes. All of them have interesting, exciting sections with a variety of great arrangements – some dramatic percussion – funky rhythm guitars – and a smooth trumpet solo. But what I craved was a version that combined a bunch of these moods into a tight, unified "master version" of the song, and that's what I've finally created here. It starts with the unbeatable original radio version, so there's nothing different for the first three minutes. But then it travels through a selection of woven-together bits from the three mixes. (It's better to travel!) Finally, it returns to the original radio mix until the final fade-out. That's the version I wanted to hear all these years... and I've finally gone ahead and made it. I hope you enjoy it!
