In this Lighting Sighting video, we revisit some F40T12 troffers at a thrift store, shown in a previous video. Unfortunetly, since their previous showing two years ago, the thrift store has neglected to keep them in working order. Many have been failing, especially during these past several months. It may not be long before the room completely plunges into darkness. It is quite disappointing to see this happening, and I hope the thrift store can repair them soon.
As for the fixtures themselves, they are standard 2x4 prismatic troffers, which take two F40T12 fluorescent lamps each. There are also a couple 4-lamp ones, and a single 3-lamp which I suspect is probably F32T8. The fixtures mostly have halophosphate cool white, likely 34-watt, lamps inside them, though some others are mixed in. The fixtures mostly have magnetic ballasts in them, but there are also some electronic ones mixed in.
Other than the troffers, there is a wraparound in a small closet, as well as a strip light in another closet that was in a previously blocked-off area that was not shown in the previous video. Both are F40T12. There was one closet with the same kind of troffer as everywhere else, too. All the fixtures in the closets were working fine, it was just the fixtures in the main kitchen area (the store is a converted restaurant) that were failing.
There is one area in particular where an extra light has been added since my previous visit because it must have been too dark over there.
