Docker images and containers are the two words everyone mixes up. In this video I explain the difference in the simplest way possible - using a recipe and a plate of food and then we do it for real on the machine. By the end of this video you will have run a real web server, run two copies of it at the same time, gone inside a running container, changed a live website, and seen exactly why that change disappears. No prior experience needed. If you have Docker installed, you can follow along. ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 What we are building today 00:50 Image vs Container explained with food 03:28 Downloading your first image 06:40 Running your first real container 07:22 What -d and -p 8080:80 actually mean 11:27 One image, two containers at the same time 13:15 Going inside a running container 18:42 The twist: why your change disappeared 20:55 Cleanup and recap 💻 ALL COMMANDS USED docker --version docker info docker pull nginx docker images docker ps docker run -d -p 8080:80 --name web1 nginx docker run -d -p 8081:80 --name web2 nginx docker exec -it web1 bash docker stop web1 docker start web1 docker rm -f web1 docker ps -a docker rm -f web2 web3 (Full copy-paste list is in the pinned comment.) 🔔 Subscribe so you don't miss the next one. #docker #devops #dockertutorial #containers #beginners
