You have the Words of Eternal Life

The Christian life is not ultimately about what we do for Christ, but what Christ has done, is doing, and will do in us. We come to Jesus only because the Father graciously draws us; we are saved not by our works but by grace through faith, and that grace brings the faith and love of Christ into our lives. Christ then lives in us, transforming us by His Spirit, and the One who began this work will faithfully complete it. Therefore, our hope is not in our own faithfulness or ability to persevere, but in Christ’s faithfulness—from beginning to end. As Peter confessed, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.”
