Lalita Pancharatnam | The Morning Hymn to Tripura Sundari

Lalita Pancharatnam | The Morning Hymn to Tripura Sundari There is something beautiful about beginning the day by remembering the Divine Mother. Śrī Lalitā Pañcaratnam is a sacred Sanskrit hymn of five verses, traditionally attributed to Ādi Śaṅkarācārya. Each verse begins with the word Prātaḥ — “in the morning” — making this stotram a beautiful prayer for welcoming a new day with devotion. The hymn honours Śrī Lalitā Tripura Sundarī, the Divine Mother worshipped in the Śrī Vidyā tradition as the supreme embodiment of beauty, wisdom, compassion and divine consciousness. What makes Lalita Pancharatnam special? Across its five verses, the devotee turns toward the Divine Mother through five expressions of worship: 🪷 Meditation — Contemplating her beautiful and compassionate form. 🙏 Reverence — Bowing at her sacred lotus feet. 🌺 Remembrance — Calling upon her divine names. ✨ Praise — Glorifying her supreme nature and divine qualities. ❤️ Devotion — Offering one's heart to the Mother at the beginning of the day. The beauty of this hymn lies in its simplicity. It reminds us that devotion need not always involve elaborate rituals. Sometimes, a few quiet moments spent remembering the Divine Mother can become a meaningful beginning to the morning. In Hindu devotional tradition, reciting or listening to Lalita Pancharatnam is cherished as a way to cultivate inner peace, clarity, gratitude and a closer relationship with the Divine Mother. May the grace of Śrī Lalitā Tripura Sundarī bring peace to your heart, wisdom to your thoughts and auspiciousness to your day.
