What really happened on his last day? --- ABOUT THIS VIDEO / इस वीडियो के बारे में On 4 May 1799, at Srirangapatna (Seringapatam), the island fortress of Mysore in southern India, British forces under Major-General David Baird crossed the Kaveri and stormed a breach in the north-west wall. Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore, left his midday meal and fought on the ramparts. This animated Hindi retelling follows the siege, the 1792 treaty that humiliated Tipu, and the old story of Baird, once a prisoner of Mysore, returning to lead the attack. It also asks whether his minister Mir Sadiq betrayed him.
