Land Of Wells, by Vanessa Lacaille, Mounir Ayoub and Hamed Kriouane (Tunisia)
Synopsis
This film tells the story of the restoration of the Bir Ettin well, located in the Tunisian desert, in a region once called the "Land of Wells."
Even today, hundreds of wells serve as landmarks marking the routes of the nomads who crossed the desert for millennia. They are meeting points for local shepherds and, perhaps one day, shelters for those who will traverse this land.
This inhabited territory teaches us that these wells are, above all, places of refuge for living beings.
