Giant Stride - Catalina, CA - Sept 2026

Chartered our favorite boat "The Giant Stride" with some fellow Aquarium volunteers and headed towards the west end of Catalina Island, CA. Our goal was to dive the wreck "Midnight Hour" but the current was too strong and ended up dragging anchor too much to dive it. We headed back around to the front side and hit Eagle rock, Bird rock, and a place Jim calls "Shaw Cove". We had pretty good viz and nothing out of the ordinary. I had some fun throwing bubble rings to all the fish.
