Join Chad from Mine Operator as he climbs a 100 foot tower with Jon's team to install a custom 14 foot antenna. We used a capstan winch mounted on the front of a truck to raise the new antenna onto the 100 foot tower. We had use to every trick in the book to get the three mounting brackets attached to the tower. After we mounted the antenna, we had to raise and install heavy duty coaxial cable. That presented it's own challenges. However, at the end of the day, we got the job done and done right.
Rigging, using a hoist, rope access, fall protection and a variety of skills used in this video can be used when building infrastructure in an underground gold mine. We look forward to showing you more work underground and eventually mining that yellow metal. Thanks for joining us on this adventure!
